THE LAST HARVEST
With sadness, we watch our vision fall away to sand
The hour is at hand
With blindness, we follow prophets who promised us the most
And then gave up the ghost
As the earth spins around
And the distance reduces
And we close with the sun
Like a home-coming friend
We see in time
The last harvest approaches
With tears in our eyes
And regret in our hearts
We gather, the data stream to justify the spend
Then forecast the end
We witness, events unfold exactly in their time
Declaring our crime
As we squander
This last opportunity
To build peace on earth
And goodwill to all men
Time …
Had forgiven us everything
But we would not refrain
From the old ebb and flow
As the earth spins around
And the distance reduces
We run to the end
With our feelings on show
We see in time
The last harvest approaches
But we would not refrain
From the old ebb and flow

The new live EP by Ryan W. Stevenson's project reminded me, that this debut album must have been gone down the wishlist... If instrumental Canterbury stuff is your thing, this should be a no-brainer. Firmly rooted in the past (late 60s, 70s), nevertheless with a fresh sound. Guests incude The Tangent's Andy Tillison and Soft Machine's Theo Travis. Carsten Pieper

They played a wonderful set at Summer’s End in October 2018 which was based around this album . For me it was one of the sets of the weekend. The record is a wonderful permanent reminder of the show. Tony Honour

got recc'd this on youtube and loved it- reminds me a lot of late 60's and early 70's records i used to hear playing out of my parents' stereo on sweltering summer days. OPAL

Though only their third studio album release, these veterans have been around for almost fifteen years--and they keep getting better with each release--which is hard to manage since their quality of compositions, performances, and production have always been top notch. A band that really should be heard! wafiii
